The Namakkal based S.M.Ramasamy Group is planning to operate buses in four states namely Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, and Karnataka. Initially For the said initiative the group has floated a Company in the name & style of SMR Travels. SMR travels was established in the year of 1952 with better views to serve the public in the field of transport. The above firm started by the founder of SMR is S.M.Ramasamy (Ex - service man) in the year 1952. And his son Mr.S.M.R.Kumaresan continues the service with best customer satisfaction and best service in the transport industry. They achieve this best pre-eminent position by quality of service and standard.

Initially the company is planning to operate with Brand new 6 Nos. of 36 seats high-end luxury Non A/c Push back coaches in Hosur . Kulasekaram, chennai . Munnar and Coimbatore . Namakkal and viz-versa sectors. Lakhs of passenger prefer Travels buses through out the year for going to various places in South India. To cater their needs the group has planned to step in to this new venture.We have plans to increase our fleet strength by putting SLEEPER COACHES , VOLVO MULTI-AXLE B9R COACHES and VOLVO MULTI-AXLE B11R COACHES to South Tamilnadu and also we have plans to establish our network in Kerala and Karnataka by putting offices and quality personnel.s.

Our ticketing strategy will be through online booking and providing outlets for ticket booking in main centres of the cities from which we are going to operate and enroute of those cities apart from this we have plans to Tie-Up with online ticketing agents like REDBUS.IN & TICKETGOOSE.COM etc. Along with carrying passengers we are planning to start CARGO SERVICES which is the need of the society now a days..
